Oral Examination
Preparation

Online delivery of an oral preparation course through a digital education programme is very different from a traditional classroom-based approach. The key to successful delivery is to create engaging, up-to-date, and relevant materials, providing you with a clear study plan and programme to follow, and ensuring you have the expert support and knowledge on hand to answer any questions.

We achieve this in two phases. Firstly, you develop your depth of knowledge with our digital materials which are aligned to the examination syllabus. The next stage is to attend our online tutorial sessions which build on your knowledge and encourages you to develop answers which demonstrate your competence.

Our MCA SQA Chief Mate written preparatory course for the Navigation and Stability examinations took over two years to develop and test.

We now have evidence that what we have created results in candidates developing a deeper understanding of the principles, theory and application of the syllabus, resulting in an impressive pass rate.

With access to materials and support over a twelve-month period, you can plan and prepare properly, identifying and rectifying any gaps in underpinning knowledge prior to tackling SQA MCA questions.

We are also delighted to partner with South Shields Marine School which enables us to offer an enhanced service to our students. Prepare with Onboard Maritime and attend South Shields Marine School for four weeks prior to the exam to undertake short courses, final exam preparation and sit the exam.
